Family waits as deadline passes in silence

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONT. -- Another day of waiting for news of James Loney passed in his hometown, and hopes this close-knit community would celebrate his release from Iraqi kidnappers yesterday turned into a vigil of prayer and discussion about what led him to put his life at risk to help others.
