Israelis ponder life without Sharon

JERUSALEM -- With Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon still clinging to life and his doctors carefully sidestepping questions about brain damage, even the most steadfast of the leader's supporters last night seemed to be quietly acknowledging that the once unstoppable former general will not return to his post.
