A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT HAS BEEN
Michelangelo Antonio's The Passenger (1975), an existential thriller starring Jack Nicholson, is one of those movies more talked about than seen. With the exception of a video release in the eighties, it has been unavailable for 30 years. It is owned by Nicholson, who is releasing it in Antonioni's "preferred" version, which adds six minutes to the original North American release.
