NDP makes a surprise resurgence in B.C.

VANCOUVER -- Early returns showed an NDP resurgence in British Columbia, as preliminary indications pointed to the possibility of the party doubling the five seats it won in 2004.The Conservatives, meanwhile, despite their overall victory in the country, were having difficulty holding their own and seemed on the verge of losing a few seats from the 22 they won last time.
