Peddie, Kirke meet with Nonis
The meeting between the Toronto Maple Leafs and prospective general manager candidate David Nonis was described more as a session of getting acquainted rather than a formal interview.Nonis met with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment president Richard Peddie yesterday after sitting down for dinner on Monday with Toronto lawyer Gordon Kirke. He and Peddie make up the Leafs' search committee for the struggling franchise's new top hockey man.
