TAKE A SPACEY STROLL AT THE SCIENCE CENTRE

What's it like to lose more than 60 per cent of your body weight in just half a minute? At the Ontario Science Centre, the big Facing Mars show includes a mock "Marswalk," where guests are hooked up to a harness-and-counterweight system to simulate a gravity-defying amble. After the spacey stroll is mastered, explore the challenges of long-distance communication - How's your cellphone range? - space sickness, low air pressure, radiation and newfangled bio-suits. ("Does this life-support system make my butt look fat?") Astronauts may or may not make it onto Mars, but this interactive exhibition is the next best thing. No well-red planet should be without one. Daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. $12 to $20. Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Rd., 416-696-1000.
