Ford, Ballard unveil hydrogen-fuelled generator
Dearborn, Mich. — Ford Motor Co. and Canadian fuel cell developer Ballard Power Systems Inc. jointly unveiled on Wednesday what they described as the world's first hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engine-driven generator. The power source, demonstrated during a news conference at Ballard's Dearborn, Mich.-based plant, was touted as a clean and attractive alternative to small turbines or combustion engines using other fuels.
