It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fred on Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home in Toronto in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Ronnie (deceased), loving dad of Larry (Lyn); cherished grandpa of Jeffrey and Jennifer; much loved brother of Howard (Jean), uncle of Katherine, Valerie and Alison, and brother in law of Agi. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He was a strong, proud and powerful man, greatly admired, who had a wonderful sense of humour and a gentle nature. Fred carried throughout his life an insatiable curiosity about a wide range of topics and was a man of tremendous integrity. He was also kind and generous, and will be lovingly remembered by family, friends and international business associates for these wonderful traits. A private ceremony will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Friday, March 28th. In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
