It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Ann Seymour announces her passing, with her family by her side, on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 79th year. Loving wife of her late husband Richard Hamilton Merritt Seymour (1998). Much loved Mother of Carolyn Locke (Ottawa), Jim (deceased), Ward (Lori) Seymour of Aurora, Marion (Kerry) Lichty and Rick (Kathy) of St. Catharines. She is leaving behind nine loving grandchildren Tom, Jeffrey, James and Michael Seymour, Meredith, Will and Drew Lichty, Madison and Gregory Seymour; and her beloved canine companion Molly. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Eleanor Ward of Toronto and her family. Barbara was an avid tennis player, curler and bridge player, a lifetime member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, past president of the Maycourt Club and a past president of the Ridley College Women's Guild. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida, notably Sanibel Island and later Naples, and her summers at West Winds on Horn Lake in Burk's Falls, which she's done since 1942. Memorial Visiting will take place at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of her life will be held at Ridley College Chapel on June 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club.
