SAMS, Rev. Peter Lyle
In hospital at Almonte on Monday afternoon, May 12, 2008. Major The Rev. Lyle Sams, B.A., C.D. of Almonte. Beloved husband of Margaret Findlay Sams and loving father of Findlay, Andrew, Mary, Katharine and Matthew, as well as Robin Glover, Letitia Clarke, Geoffrey Nobes and Jean Hee Kim. Loved by his grandchildren, Allison and Gillian, Mia and Ian. Brother of the late Margaret Wiig of Hyderabad, India and brother-in- law of Murray and Carol Findlay of Toronto.
During his ministry, Lyle was an R.C.A. Ch. C. Chaplain, Minister of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Quebec City, Padre to the Fraser Highlanders and Branch 240 Royal Canadian Legion, Almonte, as well as the White Ensign.
Lyle was an avid golfer, curler, gardener and landscape painter.

A memorial service will be held in the Almonte Presbyterian Church on Monday, May 19th, 2008 at 11 A.M.
