Canadian wasn't tortured, Saudi authorities insist

Ottawa -- Saudi Arabian authorities have assured Ottawa that they did not torture a second Canadian man whom they arrested in early 2001 on suspicion of bombing Westerners.The man was arrested just months after the capture of William Sampson, the Canadian now facing a death sentence for his alleged role in a series of bombings that targeted Westerners there.
