9/11 crisis led RCMP to share its secrets

OTTAWA -- A crisis environment after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States led the RCMP, under orders from its most senior levels, to cast aside safeguards on the transfer of investigative information to foreign security services, a public inquiry heard yesterday.
