Ben Chin is not testing the waters with his toe, and he relies on his index finger to make the point. Seated in a Danforth bar and restaurant, a cup of black bean soup steaming next to him, the former TV journalist makes his case: He's running for the Ontario Liberals in the Toronto-Danforth by-election because he intends to win. This is not a trial run, he says, regardless of the odds -- which, to be gentle, don't favour his candidacy.
