Don't forget the BlackBerry's small business users
If Jim Balsillie was carrying a BlackBerry that morning, the co-president of Research In Motion had turned it off.He says he's in contact with some 24 CIOs a day, but he probably didn't want to be interrupted by any of them last month, when he was speaking at an event in downtown Toronto. I watched him spend more than half an hour outlining RIM's plans to grow its market share without once acknowledging that the patent dispute with NTP could immobilize its mobile computing strategy. That was the first glaring omission.
