Call me old-fashioned, but why am I paying for touch-tone?
Scanning my Bell phone bill recently in search of monthly charges I could maybe live without, I noticed an odd entry at the bottom of the list of the optional services to which I subscribe. There, down past the $1.85 for a second 411 listing under my partner's name, the $7 for Bell's answering service and $5 for my fax number was something called "touch-tone service." It costs me $2.80 a month.
