AGO's fundraising secret: Don't charge admission
Toronto -- The Art Gallery of Ontario may have dropped its general admission charges while it undergoes its massive reconstruction, but it is still raking in the money. A year after the launch of the fundraising campaign for its $254-million expansion project, the gallery yesterday announced that it had reached 83 per cent of its goal. Total funds raised are now $211.4-million.
