Four years later, no-fly list remains grounded
OTTAWA, TORONTO -- Maher Arar had reason to suspect he might be on some kind of government blacklist when he arrived at the airport in Montreal for a recent flight to Edmonton.Although Transport Canada has not yet developed a master no-fly list, Mr. Arar's experience at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport has him wondering whether the notorious circumstances of his travel history -- New York to a Syrian torture chamber -- keeps him red-flagged in somebody's computer database.
