Israel sets stage for ground assault
JERUSALEM, UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan condemned the use of excessive force in Lebanon, as Israel warned residents to "immediately" flee a nearly 30-kilometre swath of south Lebanon along the border, fuelling speculation of a larger ground invasion.
