Man who ate wrong kind of mushrooms gravely ill
A deadly species of wild mushroom has migrated to Toronto, catching public health officials by surprise and putting a local man in hospital.The 44-year-old victim was gravely ill last night and his chances of recovery uncertain after he ate a toxic type of mushroom known as Amanita bisporigera. Not all of the Amanita genus of mushrooms are poisonous, but the bisporigera species is particularly dangerous because it does internal damage before symptoms are evident.
