Canadian advances in world tournament
Blackpool, England -- John Part of Oshawa, Ont., moved into the second round of the 2006 Stan James World Matchplay tournament yesterday along with Alex Roy and Dennis Priestley. Part, fresh from his win three weeks ago in the PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic, produced a solid start to his challenge with a 10-2 win over local favourite Wes Newton.
