Talks ease threat of Clayoquot protest

VANCOUVER -- After meeting with native chiefs, environmental groups are standing down from threats of re-engaging in a 2006 version of the war in the woods in Clayoquot Sound.Greenpeace, ForestEthics and Friends of Clayoquot Sound say they're satisfied after talks with the Central Region First Nations that there are no immediate plans for logging of old-growth valleys.
