Teck finally dealt a bad hand in the Inco bid war
Teck Cominco's utterly sensational streak of luck has just come to a crashing end. On Thursday, it appeared likely that Teck's pursuit of Inco, a long-shot effort that began a year ago, would actually succeed -- the triumph of the ultimate underdog. Yesterday morning, Teck instead seemed on the verge of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, thanks to a rival bid from Brazil's CVRD.
