Former Wal-Mart executive guilty of expensing beef jerky

Thomas Coughlin, the former vice-chairman of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., was yesterday sentenced to 27 months home detention, avoiding a prison sentence after admitting he falsified expense reports to buy liquor, care for his hunting dogs and upgrade his truck.
