Pitfield vows to rein in city spending
Mayoral candidate Jane Pitfield released a list of her ideas to fix the city's finances yesterday, pledging to audit "every tax dollar," reverse a pay raise for politicians, keep tax increases at or below the rate of inflation and bring in a hiring freeze.
