Where the streets -- uh, lanes -- have no names
In between directing traffic on Lower Bathurst Street around island airport expansion crews and coming up with plans to change the property tax, city council candidate Adam Vaughan posted a note and a video last week about the city's alleyways on his website. He said they should be safer. But in doing so, he used a bad word. A very bad word -- at least to portions of his natural constituency, young, street-level activists, who are now saying they want anyone but Mr. Vaughan representing them.
