Anyone else might find it a strangely truncated tale: About 2,000 years ago, an unseen god uses the womb of a teenage girl to give birth to his son, a god-child invested with big expectations. The end. Now that's a provocative yarn as far as it goes, but neophytes can be forgiven for believing that the picture is missing a few reels -- like where in heaven are the second and third acts?
