Showtime has passed down the post-mortem on Dexter: He's a hit. The dark drama starring former Six Feet Under regular Michael C. Hall as a forensics expert who leads a double life as a serial killer was the highest-rated original series on the cable channel in the last two years. Last week's finale garnered 1.1 million viewers in the U.S.--nearly double the audience of the debut episode in December (Dexter airs on The Movie Network in Canada). Showtime has already ordered a second season of Dexter, with filming scheduled to begin in Miami next month.
