Mild spell may chill natural gas prices, shares

Blame it on the weather. The winter temperatures in the Northeastern United States are above normal and, as a result, natural gas inventories are swelling south of the border, prompting some Canadian companies, such as EnCana Corp. of Calgary to cut back on drilling. But U.S. players are barrelling ahead, which doesn't bode well for natural gas prices. Or shares of the companies that produce the commodity.
