Six Nations Caledonia claim invalid, Ottawa says
Ottawa has told the Six Nations Confederacy that its claim to a former housing development in the Southwestern Ontario town of Caledonia would not be recognized in court.The federal government sets out that position in a Department of Justice report presented Thursday to Six Nations Confederacy officials who are negotiating with federal and provincial officials to try to end the 11-month occupation.
