Activist fears log salvage will ruin coast

VICTORIA -- A massive log-salvage operation off rugged Nootka Island has a leading environmentalist sounding alarm bells."The area is one of the jewels of our coast," Vicky Husband said. "Nobody is happy. This is a pristine area."
