Can dirty old king coal manage to clean up its act?
OTTAWA -- In Texas, the largest utility, TXU Corp., is backpedalling furiously from a much-maligned plan to build 11 traditional coal-fired power plants and is instead proposing two coal-fired plants that would employ an ultramodern gasification process to capture carbon dioxide emissions for underground storage.
