Women give up ecological gems
Two ecologically significant pieces of land on the Oak Ridges Moraine have been taken out of possible development forever through the generosity of two prominent Canadians.Senator Nancy Ruth has donated a 61-acre (25-hectare) property in Pickering, to the Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust, the trust's executive director, Don Prince, said yesterday. And Jane Glassco and her family have placed a conservation easement on 269 acres near Schomberg.
