Carbon tax won't hurt economy, report says

Slapping a substantial carbon tax on industries that pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere will have little impact on the economy, an internal government report reveals.Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, who secured the January, 2007, report through access-to-information legislation, said the findings support her party's long-held position that putting a significant price on carbon emissions is the best way to get results.
