Mill job losses blamed on log exports, waste

VANCOUVER -- One-third of the logs harvested in British Columbia during the past two years were left to rot or exported to the United States instead of being processed at provincial mills, according to a report released yesterday by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
