Shelves grow bare in early days of Hamas rule

GAZA CITY -- The list is nearly 1,800 names long, all of them people who recently bought groceries from Hazem Hassona without the money to pay."There's a small number of people with money, and they're stocking up on supplies," the balding 36-year-old grocery store owner said, flipping through three thick notebooks filled with names and amounts owing. "The rest have no money for anything. I can't even calculate how much money I'm owed."
