Thirty years ago, the Portland Trail Blazers were the warmest story in professional basketball.With a bearded redhead named Bill Walton playing a sublime game from the post, the Trail Blazers used a fast-paced, team-oriented brand of basketball to create a sensation in their corner of the Pacific Northwest and put an exclamation point on it with their upset win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1977 National Basketball Association final.
