TIFF names Sprockets, Madness movies
The Toronto International Film Festival unveiled the lineup yesterday for three of its long-running programs, the kid-friendly Sprockets, the madcap Midnight Madness and the artistically edgy Wavelengths.Six feature films - three animated and three live action - will screen under the Family Zone portion (aimed at film fans eight years or older) of the Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival, which showcases the best in international children's cinema. Terra, an animated-feature directorial debut from Canadian filmmaker Aristomenis Tsirbas, is a gala presentation about a precocious alien girl (voiced by Evan Rachel Wood). Other voice talent includes Luke Wilson, Dennis Quaid, Amanda Peet, James Garner, Danny Glover and Rosanna Arquette.
