Who has the power? Workers think they do
Who has the power in new job negotiations? Fifty-eight per cent of more than 900 employees polled said they would likely negotiate higher compensation if accepting a new job offer now, up from 29 per cent in 2006, according to a survey by staffing firm Robert Half International and on-line job site CareerBuilder.com. As well, 37 per cent of 1,035 employers said they plan to increase compensation for new hires..
