Analysts wary of oil patch

As storm clouds gather over the oil patch, analysts warn that only a handful of Canadian energy companies are positioned to weather tough times.The prospect of a continued slump in natural gas prices along with a tougher royalty regime in Alberta could set out a new hierarchy among oil and gas companies. Those weighed toward gas and the oil sands may see their stocks battered, while energy plays rooted in conventional oil should sail through the storms.
