A bullet's lasting legacy
Two years after being shot four times, Shaquan Cadougan still aches from the bullet lodged near his bladder, says his mother, Suzette. Another, embedded in his left instep, often causes his foot to itch. But considering the sheer force his nearly five-year-old frame absorbed, and the severity of his wounds, Shaquan has virtually made a full physical recovery. His mother is more concerned with his emotional wounds now that he's getting older - and angrier.
