This sweet squash is fit for a princess

This is a fairy tale about a forgotten squash, abandoned in the pumpkin patch while her fast-growing siblings were pureed into pies and carved for Halloween. The Cinderella (also called the Fairytale or French pumpkin) is best remembered in North America as the coach that carried Cinderella to the royal ball. Its squat, cartoonish shape and deep-red skin are unmistakable.
