A-Rod scoops MVP award; contract on deck
A couple of third basemen were rewarded for outstanding 2007 seasons yesterday: Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees was recognized as the American League's most valuable player, while Mike Lowell, the MVP of the World Series, signed a three-year contract to stay with the Boston Red Sox.
