The Fat Lady sings
LONDON -- Not so long ago, before we learned about the diabolical nature of trans fats, butter was the enemy of the people. Butter, and bacon, and cream and lard and all the things that gave the Fat Ladies their shapes, their reputations, their delicious recipes for fat-stuffed fat loaf topped with deep-fried fat crumbs (and anchovies).
