Harper seeks to mend fences with Williams
OTTAWA -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper is seeking a meeting with Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams on Saturday in an effort to repair the scorched earth between them.The two leaders have squared off in a nasty war of words sparked by disagreement over the Atlantic Accord. Federal Conservative fortunes have crumbled in Newfoundland while Mr. Williams won re-election in a landslide last month.
