Green Party support at record levels, voter poll finds
OTTAWA -- Green is now the colour of protest. Dissatisfied with the traditional menu of political parties, Canadians are expressing support for the Green Party at double-digit levels.A new poll conducted by the Strategic Counsel for The Globe and Mail and CTV places support for the Greens at a record high of 13 per cent. And rather than a one-time blip, the party has for several months regularly scored at or near that mark - about twice the level of its support in the first half of 2006.
