Dry Mennonite community turns to drink

STEINBACH, MAN. -- It's never been easy to get a drink in Steinbach, and for years residents liked it that way.Over six referendums, and three decades, the mostly Mennonite town voted to remain an alcohol-free oasis where the church was central to community life and the ills of the outside world could be kept at bay.
