Limit junk-food ads, report urges

Advertising food to children under 13 - which often involves junk food and snacks - should be banned, Toronto's medical officer of health says.Citing the problem of childhood obesity, a report from Dr. David McKeown to today's meeting of the board of health calls for the federal and provincial governments to ban "all commercial advertising of food and beverages" to children under 13.
