$1-billion infusion for roads, transit

Municipalities across Ontario will receive an extra $1-billion this year for roads, bridges, public transit and repairs to affordable housing.The government signalled last week that it would help municipalities with infrastructure, and yesterday it earmarked $400-million for roads and bridges outside Toronto, $497-million for public transit in the Toronto region and $100-million for rehabilitation of social housing units across Ontario.
