Canada calls on Sudan to stop attacking Darfur
Khartoum -- Canadian Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier, paying his first official visit to Khartoum, urged the Sudanese government yesterday to stop attacks in the war-torn region of Darfur.Mr. Bernier, who spoke after talks with Sudanese Foreign Minister Deng Alor, is scheduled to visit North Darfur today to meet international peacekeepers and the local governor in the state capital Al-Fasher.
