Ontario praised for PSA funding
Toronto -- Given the controversy surrounding the test for prostate cancer, we applaud the Ontario Liberals for their pledge to insure the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test for men over 50 (Free Tests a Mixed Blessing - March 27). Until research produces a better option, the best thing men over 50 can do is have an annual PSA test and digital rectal exam. This maximizes treatment options if they're diagnosed - even if they choose to avoid treatment indefinitely.
